Day Trip to Santa Barbara and Danish Village
When I have an opportunity to take a day trip, I enjoy visiting cities along the California coast and relax in the atmosphere of the local attractions, restaurants and museums.
The new school year is beginning its busy course. So, the pleasant and admirable weather is forcing Los Angeles residents to spend time outdoors.
One of the fun and adventurous day trips is an excursion to Santa Barbara.
A charming town with one of the nicest beaches has much to offer.
You can make a phone reservation for a 2 hour unique and affordable sailboat cruise, designed for families with kids at Sunset Kidd Sailing Charters. They offer cruises every Saturdays and Sundays at 10:30am ($40-Adult, Kids under the age of 4 are FREE).
The Sunset Kidd Sailing Charters is located right next to the most popular beach in Santa Barbara- Mesa Beach, right below Shoreline Park.
After a short sunbathing break and lunch at the Shoreline Beach Cafe, head to the Sea Center, located just 10 minutes away.
Children can enter the two-story glass foyer and greet a 39-foot, life-size model of a California Gray whale and her calf,  crawl through a 1,500-gallon tidepool tank to see ocean life from a different perspective, and discover fun in science and the wonders of the natural world.Â
After your educational fun, visit a quiet Danish town Solvang that come to life with music and dances each weekend.
If you’re heading to Solvang this weekend, then don’t forget to enjoy the classic car show and street entertainment.
No matter where the road will take you and your family this weekend, enjoy it!
